It was a tremendous privilege to be hired to produce a video for Subway’s internal teams. I was contacted by a colleague who handles marketing for Subway’s Independent Purchasing Cooperative, or IPC. The goal was to create a video piece to excite and motivate Subway executives, franchisees, and other representatives about a massive initiative to improve the overall quality of Subway’s bread.
I flew out to Phoenix with my partnering producer Alex to a huge bakery facility where Subway had their key bakery team conduct numerous tests in regards to processing ingredients for their new bread line. It was fascinating getting to conduct on-camera interviews with CEOs, bakers, chefs, and food scientists and learn about their processes.
Taking this footage, along with pre-shot b-roll from other testing events & meetings as well as an interview from Subway’s CEO, I edited a narrative piece that IPC and Subway were thrilled with. The video rallied and educated the Subway teams about the bread project and was even screened at the 2019 Toronto Franchise Expo.
I’m hopeful to one day have the chance to work with these teams again on more public-facing commercials and TV spots.
