In 2015 I went to Corpus Christi, Texas for a week to produce and edit video content for MAC Cosmetics’ blowout event for their Selena makeup line. This weekend-long event consisted of a huge arena concert featuring Prince Royce and many DJs, speeches from Selena’s family, and an interactive shopping experience where guests could purchase the exclusive makeup product.

My role at the event was a challenging one: I was tasked with teaming up with a local video crew and directing interviews with key figures of Corpus Christi: the Mayor, the Sherriff, a City Council member, top radio personalities, Selena’s family, and superfans. These interviews served as the narration for several roll-out videos that were to be played on the Jumbotron screens in the arena during performance intermissions. The deadline was grueling. I needed to cut three sizzles using more than a dozen interviews & multiple shooters-worth of footage. It was a lot of work playing producer, DIT, and lead editor simultaneously.
